At our concerts and in recordings we try to maintain an atmosphere of harmony and peace so that each listener could obtain as much as possible from the meditative qualities of the songs and at the same time appreciate their melodies. We can achieve that using the fruits of meditation, which we all intensively practice.
Nowadays, the benefits of meditation are well known in the Western world. There is a whole range of techniques how to practice meditation. To learn what really meditation is, we do not have leave behind modern civilisation and devote ourselves to austere life in some Himalayan cave. It is enough when we enrich our everyday life with meditation. A short period of time daily is enough for silent meditation or listening to soulful music. If we are patient and persistent, we will surely feel that our efforts will be rewarded abundantly.
Sri Chinmoy´s teachings about meditation is very simple and therefore everybody can try it. He follows the ancient Indian tradition of yoga (yoga means union) and he concentrates mainly on the heart centre ( or chakra). This chakra is located in the centre of our chest. Before you start listening to our songs, try to silence your thoughts, calm down your breathing and focus your attention on the heart centre. Then you will be able to obtain infinitely more from our music.

Through His music, God is offering to His children the message of unity in multiplicity and also the message of multiplicity in unity. When we play soulful music, we elevate our consciousness most rapidly. Soulful music is a form of aspiration, a form of meditation.”
